Bright start not enough as Town fall 2-1 at St Helens Town

A strong first-half display deserved more, but St Helens' second-half pressure told in the closing minutes.
Match Verdict
Bollington Town started brightly at Ruskin Sports Village and took an early lead after a good team move, Xavi Llorente setting up Mouhamadou Bamba Seye to finish. Town were the stronger side in the first half, creating a few good chances and defending well to go in ahead.
St Helens Town came out strongly after the break and equalised shortly after half time. The hosts enjoyed most of the ball from there and found a late winner in the final minutes.
A frustrating end to the afternoon after an excellent first-half performance, but plenty of positives to build on.
